Our Mission

The Education Special Interest Group (EdSIG) is focused on advancing microbiology educators and supporting scholarship of teaching and learning in microbiology.

The main purposes of EdSIG are to:

  • Foster networks, collaborations and professional development opportunities for educators at various stages in their career, in microbiology and the related sciences.

  • Promote microbiology education in Australia and enhance awareness of microbiology in the wider community.
